July 21, 1934 – March 14, 2022

Peacefully, in Ottawa, on March 14, 2022 , Lowell stepped into Heaven. Beloved husband of his treasured “bride”, Ruth James, for over 60 years. Dearly loved Dad of Lyndon (Bette-Anne), Timothy (Sandra), Andrew (Jennifer). Loving Grandpa of Mitchell ( Emilia), Curtis ( Maddie), Benjamin, Jonathan, Helen, Zachary, Violet. Dear brother of Morna Hammond(Gordon deceased ),Marian Graham(Ivan deceased ), Atholl (Marilyn deceased), Brent (Sharon), and sister-in-law Iva James. Affectionately, remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Son of Asa and Bertha Smith of Campbell's Bay, Quebec. Appreciation to the Ottawa Grace Manor staff for their compassionate care. In keeping with Lowell’s servant heart, a bequeathal for medical science has been made. A private family interment at Stittsville United Cemetery, at a later date.

A Celebration of his life will be at Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church, 225 McClellan Road, Nepean, ON, https://www.arlingtonwoods.ca/  on Saturday March 26, 2022, at 1:30pm.
