Newson, Lorraine (nee Cameron)

Passed away peacefully at Starwood Long Term Care home on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the age of 91 with family by her side.  Predeceased by her loving husband, Richard J. Newson.  Lovingly remembered by her children: Linda Longstreet (Dean McFadyen); Bruce Longstreet (Lynda Longstreet); Kathy Ezard (Daniel Ezard); Wendy Longstreet (Steven Marsh); her 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of Starwood Long Term Care Home for the care that was given during her residence.  

Special thanks to Rev. Canon George for his visits and the gift of Holy Communion during her residence.  

Visitation will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 930 Watson Street, Ottawa on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.  with a reception to follow.  Burial will take place at Pinecrest Cemetery at 2 p.m. 

For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church.
