Loreen Teevens

We are deeply saddened to announce that on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, we lost a greatly loved and cherished aunt and devoted friend, who was always there for all our accomplishments in life. Loreen "Dede" passed away peacefully at Riverpark Retirement Home at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Teevens and predeceased by her infant daughter Catherine. Loreen will be cherished and missed by those in whose memories she will never die…. her special nieces Fran Power (John), Mary Cunningham (Dick), Helen Vincent (Ronnie), Renfrew, Marie Carry, Arnprior, Helen Featherston (Steve), Anne Marie Costello and nephews Mike Costello (Helen), and John Legree. Dearly loved great aunt and special friend of Leanne Ferris (Jamie), Mike Power (Lin), Paul Power (Karen), Mark Cunningham and David Cunningham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Doreen Murphy (late Francis), Rita Legree (late Lawrence), Theresa Costello (late Lyall), brother Joseph Gore (Joyce) and nephew Pat Legree. The family will receive friends at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd. ) on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3 p.m. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour later in the spring. A very special thank you to Dr. Selwyn DeSouza for the outstanding care, compassion and many home visits and to Elisa Molina, her hairdresser, for always being there every Thursday. Special thanks to the Staff at Riverpark Place for their kindness.
