HOPE, Lloyd
Passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by his parents, John Alexander and Jessie Ethel; his sister, Doris and brother-in-law John Frey; his brother Scott Hope and sister-in-law, Ruth; his sister, June Wilson.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Ross Wilson and thirteen (13) nieces and nephews, namely, Janet, John, Kenneth, Blair, Susan, Alex, Anne, Peter, Thomas, Shirley, Ellen, Greta, Connie.
Lloyd was born and raised in Ottawa. He grew up on the family farm and eventually bought the farm. He dabbled in numerous ventures, including real estate agent, taxi driver and car salesman. He loved being a businessman.
His passion was being a farmer and had the fondest memories operating his farm machinery and having his dog, Herbie by his side.
Lloyd will be missed by his friend of over 40 years, Carol and his friend, Ian and many more friends; in particular, Cynthia, Melissa, Andrew and Dawson who were with him constantly. He will leave a huge hole in their hearts.
We thank the health care workers, Dr. MacLeod, Champlain LHIN and everyone who made it possible for him to remain at home.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10 a.m., a live streaming option is available below.
