Leonard William Westwell

We are sad to announce the passing of our father, Leonard William Westwell.  Born September 24/1928 and passed away November 13, 2023.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Shirley (Nee Gale), father William (Bill), mother Doris (Nee Leigh), brother George, and sister Barbara.  He is survived by his brother Dennis.

He passed away peacefully in the Queensway Carleton Hospital surrounded by his children, Brenda Ashton (Doug), Rick (Ruth), Debbie Morin, Greg (Brenda), and Wayne (Joanne Eaglesham ). He was the loving pappa of 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

He was a member of Temple Lodge 665, past District Deputy Grand Master Ottawa District One, and past chairman of the board for the Ottawa Construction Association.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Saturday, December 9^th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospital or Salvation Army would be appreciated.
