Bean - Leonard Frank
August 25 1924 – April 29 2014
Peacefully at Barrhaven Manor after an extended illness on Tuesday, April 29 2014. Beloved son of the late Willie and Margaret Bean. Predeceased by his beloved wife Pamela (Attree) and brother John. Survived by his son Mark Bean; sister Evelyn Woodward; and second loving family for over 40 years – Jacqueline (Bernard Livingstone), Valerie (Danny Faubert), Donald White (Nancy), Sylvia (Richard Pinard); several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed for his witty comments and artistic accomplishments. Len was born in Canterbury, Kent, England then immigrated to Canada in 1947 after serving in the RAF Bomber Command during WW2. He was shot down and spent two years in a prisoner of war camp. He later retired as a draftsman from Singer Canada. Special thanks to the staff of the Barrhaven Manor for their compassion and care. Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m.. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
