Lenore Ethel Dunn

DUNN Lenore Ethel (Powell), RN - Lenore went to be with her Lord peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in her 90th year. 

She was the proud and loving mother of Jeff (Carole), Ian (Janice), and Steven (Martha). Nan will be forever loved and missed by her grandchildren Matt (Sarah), Katie, Jonathan (Andrea), Krista (Andrew), Jake (Vanessa), Laura (Wil), and Paul (Jocelyn), and is now joyfully reunited with Peter; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Emma, Georgia, Ainsley, Hailey, Ryan, Owen, Raelyn, Braydon, Tommy, Wyatt, and Levi. Daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Powell. Sister to Bob (Pauline) Powell, along with several beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Doug, and her sister, Carol Ann and husband Gene. 

Lenore left a legacy of passion for Jesus and His work (at home and abroad), love for her family, friends, and many acquaintances, of zeal for healthcare as a dedicated nurse and nursing instructor, of a laugh that was as infectious as her mother’s, and of a generosity that overflowed into all of life, giving tirelessly of her time, energy, and prayers to every life she touched. 

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the medical care she received, especially through Dr. Suzuki and the Arnprior Hospital nurses and staff in her last days. 

Friends may pay their respects at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Monday, May 6th from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m., or at Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church, 225 McCellan Road, Nepean on Tuesday, May 7th from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Reception will follow. Interment will follow the reception, 2:30 p.m. at Huntley United Cemetery, 2605 Carp Road, Ottawa.
