Lawrence Parks

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and an abundance of love on September 13, 2017 at the age of 56. Son of the late George Parks and late Florence Parks (nee Wheeler). Beloved husband of Brenda Parks (nee Brooks). Cherished and always remembered by his children Stephen, Abigail and Cameryn. Dearly missed by his sister Shelly. Born and raised in Ottawa. Larry had a successful career in tech sales. He enjoyed his jobs and colleagues so much that he felt he never worked a day in his life. There was nothing that Larry loved more than to engage himself in a room full of people. His charm and vibrant personality drew everyone to him, making those around him laugh, bringing them joy, challenging them to see things differently and igniting their desires. His drive for knowledge and technological innovation was his passion. Larry always saw possibilities, he never backed down and reached just a bit further every time. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice at May Court. Their care and compassion was a light in a dark time helping the family usher Larry into his next life.

On Tuesday September 19, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial service will take place in the chapel on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made to Hospice Care Ottawa May Court site, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
