Laura May Ledger

It is with sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Laura May Ledger (nee Delahunt), on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, born on October 1, 1940.  Laura was predeceased by her parents, John and Edith Delahunt, sisters Myra, Wendy and brother Rodney.  Laura was the loving wife to Jack for 64 years.  She was the cherished mom to Kathy Magladry (Barry), Debbie, Jack (Rosanne), Rick (Kim), Laurie and Tim.  She was a special mom-in-law to Jo McLatchie.  Awesome Grandmother to Ryan (Kate), Chelsea (James), Samantha, Jason (Alana), Alex, Meagan and Cory.  She was thrilled to be called Great Grandma to Vivienne and Charlie Magladry, Austin and Nevada Pepper, Keegan, Ethan and Adrian Ledger-Lacelle and Theodore Condie.   Her memories will be forever in the hearts of her brother’s Maynard (late Pat), Bruce (Brenda), Leslie (Carol), John (Diane) and Dan (Leslie) and many nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by her treasured friend Jo Hamilton.   We will all miss our phone chats, big family dinners and her humour.  She will be forever in our hearts.  

A Chapel Service will be held at the Tubman Funeral Home, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, Ontario on Sunday, November 26th, at 11:00 am, reception to follow.  

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society of Ottawa and the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
