(Nee Brennan)

Oct 2, 1931 – Oct 14, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laura Cuddihey, on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at the age of 83. Laura was the daughter of the late William Brennan and Lucy Daly. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Martin Cuddihey, on August 14, 1991. Left to mourn are her three boys Robert, Mark and Eric. Granny C will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren Kayla and Brayden (mother Colleen Trowsse). Laura was the dear sister of Philip Brennan (late Clare Guilfoyle), Elva (late Gerald Morris), Shirley (Norbert Daly), Edmond (Ebby) Brennan, Betty (Isadore Carrol). Laura was predeceased by her brothers Walter (late Florence), Jim (late Ann) and Daly (late Kay and late Sarah). Dear sister in law of Clare (Dr. Ormond Stanton), Peggy (late Victor Daly), Maureen (late John Cuddihey), Sophie (late Frank Cuddihey) and Katie (late Paul Cuddihey), and brother in law Raymond Major (late Helen Cuddihey). Laura was a special friend to her neighbour Kelsey Pilon. Mom never sought the limelight, preferring to toil in the background. Laura was also a gifted teacher. Mom took time out from her teaching career to raise the three boys, returning to teaching part time, up until her retirement. After retirement, Mom became an active member with the Low Seniors Citizen Club. Laura was also very much involved with her beloved Holy Cross Church, right up until her passing. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday Oct. 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church Fieldville, Quebec. Burial, Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Low Heritage Hall. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Holy Cross Cemetery Fund, Fieldville, Quebec. Please also consider performing an act of kindness towards others, in memory of Laura (Mom).
