Klaas Korver

Peacefully at home and lovingly surrounded by family, Klaas left us after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Much beloved husband of Nel (née Buit) for 54 years. Wonderful father of Robert (Elaine), Wendy (Michael), and Steven (Karen). Proud Opa of Kurt and Dirk. Predeceased by his parents Dirk and Maartje, and his sister Nel Rikkenberg. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews on the island of Texel in the Netherlands where Klaas was born. Also held dear by numerous other Dutch family members including his sisters-in-law Leni and Anneke, and many nephews and nieces. Always devoted to his family, Klaas was a kind, thoughtful and intelligent man with a surprising sense of humour. Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd (between Baseline and Bayshore Dr.) on Sunday, November 17th from 2-4pm. A celebration of Klaas' life will be held on Monday, November 18th at 11am, followed by a reception to share memories. For those who wish it, a memorial donation to a charity would be greatly appreciated.
