Peacefully, with his wife by his side on November 4, 2014, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Kaatje (nee deVlieger) for 55 years. Loving father of Karen Currie (William). Cherished Poppa of Benjamin and Lucas Church. Will be missed by his cousin Doug Kelly (Donna). Ken will also be fondly remembered by his cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in the Netherlands and Canada. Special thank-you to family and friends for their ongoing support and to the caring staff at Carleton Lodge. Funeral service will be held at Living Waters Christian Assembly, 105 Slack Road, Ottawa on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 1 p.m., interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, followed by reception at Carleton Lodge, 55 Lodge Road, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, donations to Carleton Lodge and to the Bells Corners Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated.
