Ken Brown

Kenneth (Ken) Edward Brown of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away peacefully on November 2nd, 2024, at the age of 87.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janet Brown, his sister Pamela Hudson, his daughter Caryn Brown (Doug Whyte), his grandchildren Krysta St. Amand (Matthew MacKinnon),  Jack St. Amand, and his great-grandchildren Cody and Emma MacKinnon.

Ken was born May 29th, 1937 in London, England. He studied at Bristol University where he met Janet whom he married on August 8th, 1959. In 1965, Ken emigrated to Canada with his young family to take on a new opportunity at Bell Northern Research as a mathematical engineer.

Ken was a passionate sailor, avid skier, and enjoyed sketching. He was a fearless adventurer who loved to travel. Ken will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his quick wit, and his love for and dedication to his family.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate and caring staff at Park Place Retirement Residence for the duration of Ken’s stay with them.

A Memorial Reception will be held at Tubman Funeral Homes-Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore & Baseline Rd.), Nepean on Tuesday November 12 between 1 pm and 3 pm.
