Shaw, Keith Barmby
December 28, 1934 - December 22, 2021
Keith died peacefully in the QCH with his beloved wife of 51 years Kathleen (Katie) by his side. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Edna May Shaw. His sister Hazel (Tony) Dilke-Wing survives him, as we’ll as his nephew Martin (Nicky) Dilke-Wing, his niece Gillian (Berjo) Dilke-Wing and his great nephew Adam Dilke-Wing.
Keith was born in Scarborough, England, and came to Canada in 1959 for 2 years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Research Council. He returned to Canada in 1962 and ended up working at DND until his retirement in 1994.
He will be missed by family and friends, especially David Hughes, Martin and Marie Hughes, the Lujetic family Sally, Victor, Hannah and Sarah, Rick Jones, and his breakfast buddy Ron Glover.
Thanks to Dr. J. Salcedo and Dr. A. Haq for their excellent care over the years and Dr. Rebekah Murphy and Cathie Comerford in Pallative Care at the QCH.
Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be returned to Scarborough , England when travelling is allowed.
