LeBarron, Keith
1934-2021
Peacefully, at home surrounded by family, Keith passed away on May 12, 2021. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 64 years, Helene (nee Rivington). He was the loving father of Kathy (Rob Webb), Greg (Christine), Joy (Rodney Moors) and the proud grandfather of Matthew Webb (Jess), Cameron Webb (Katherine), Allison Webb (TK), Brandon LeBarron (Maddie), Alexandra LeBarron (Caleb), Keenan LeBarron, Ryland, Marissa, and MacKenzie Dean, Autumn Moors, Kate Moors, and Kent Moors. Keith was predeceased by his parents James and Muriel LeBarron and his sister Elva Robey Martin. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Erva Rivington and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Keith was born and raised in Stittsville, he attended Ottawa Technical School and began his career as a mechanic at Bourk's Ignition in 1952. He quickly moved to being a successful salesman and partner in Bourk's Ignition where he worked for 48 years, and he was well respected by all his customers and employees.
Keith loved the outdoors and looked forward to spending time at the cottage at Lake Clear and later his home at Calabogie. He loved cross country skiing, fishing, golfing, playing cards, and entertaining friends and family. He enjoyed winters spent in Mrytle Beach where he made many friends. In his later years he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events and when he was no longer able to travel south he enjoyed fishing trips in Quebec with his friends and grandchildren and coffee/ special events with his neighbours in Pine Hill. Right up until passing he was the person his family always reached out to to solve a car or home repair problem - he was the fix-it man.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be a service at a later date. The family would like to thank the community palliative care nurses for their compassionate care during Keith's last days and Dr. Howard Cohen. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to St. Stephen's Anglican Church Memorial Fund, 930 Watson Street., Ottawa ON. K2B 6B9 or Hospice Care Ottawa, Ruddy Shenkman.
