Kemp, Kathleen, Dora (Nee Lewis)

Peacefully on Friday, April 29th 2022, exactly one week before her 102nd birthday.  Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Dora Lewis and by her loving husband Stan.  Kathleen will be missed by her family of nieces, nephews cousins and friends in Canada and the UK.  She led a full and adventurous life working first in a clerical position before transitioning into a nursing career.  This was begun in England and took her to Zanzibar, Saskatchewan, and the Arctic before settling with her husband in Ottawa.  She was a proud member of the Ottawa Welsh Choir and devoted much time to St. John’s Anglican Church in Kanata where she was a founding member of the choir.  A funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held on Friday, May 13th at 11 am at St. John’s Anglican Church, 325 Sandhill Rd., Kanata.  In memory of Kathleen, memorial donations to the Ottawa Humane Society and/or St. John’s Anglican Church, South March, would be appreciated.  Tributes, condolences, and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
