Black, June
The death occurred peacefully, at the Queensway Carlton Hospital, on Tuesday, January 4, 2021, of June Black of Nepean, Ontario, aged 89 years. June was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Black, who she missed dearly.
Born in Cheltenham, England, she was the much-loved daughter of the late Fred and Kathleen (Chesmer) Chess. Survived by her children, Bronwen Black, Nepean, Ontario and son David Black, Summerside, PEI as well as daughter-in law Carolyn Black and grandchildren Jordan and Amaya Black. They will miss their ‘Nana B’.
Throughout June’s life, she found great joy spending time with family and friends, playing Bridge and helping others through her volunteer efforts. June loved figure skating and saw many live performances; always cheering for the Canadian teams. She was an avid reader and showed her true British nature as she certainly loved offbeat British humour.
