Murray, Julie
With sadness and solace we said goodbye to Julie Carol Murray Friday July 30, 2021. Julie was the much loved wife of Paul Madsen, married September 4 1993.
Born June 11, 1968, daughter of Freda Murray and the late Donald Murray. She graduated from Laurentian University with a B.Sc.Nursing and nursed at Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital for 27 years.
Julie’s sunny disposition, can do attitude, adventurous spirit and infectious enthusiasm left everyone she met feeling happy. At her hospital workplace, the kid’s playgroup, the rink, gym or beach, Julie always focused on the positive.
Julie’s happiest moments centered around life at MacLaren’s Landing on the Ottawa River. Childhood summers were spent on the beach with a joyful mix of siblings, cousins, and neighbours. Julie’s children, Quinn, Thomas and Sophie would later enjoy the same experience.
Julie completed her life’s journey on her own terms, on her own time, surrounded and cared for by her family. It was important to Julie to be in her home, “Waikiki”, the forever home she and Paul lovingly created beside “Shangri-La”, her family’s cottage.
Predeceased by her brother Jamie Murray (Christine Clayton), sadly missed by sisters Angie Murray Ursel (Peter) and Cindy Murray Jordan. Idolized and adored by all her nieces and nephews
A Celebration of Julie’s Life will be held Tuesday August 3, at 1:30 pm outdoors at the family home in MacLaren’s Landing. All are welcome.
