Judith Blais

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Judith Linda Blais (nee Gardner) surrounded by her family on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Civic Hospital.

Survived by her loving husband Aurele Blais for over 50 years, beloved mother of Deborah Blais (Randy Lalonde) and Steven Blais (Carole Blais) grandmother of Kyle, Brett (Rebecca), Corey, Christina, Travis (Brandie), Ashley, Kelsey and Samantha and her many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Harold Gardner and her parents, Gertrude and Al Jamieson.

Survived by her brother Bill Gardner (predeceased by Sandra Gardner) and her sister Fern Gardner (Lonnie).

Predeceased by lifelong friends Frank and Louise Glogowski and cherished by their loving children Brenda and Frank.  Judith worked for the O.B.E (Ottawa Board of Education) and OCDSB (Ottawa-Carleton District School Board) for over 30 years and made many friends and colleagues along the way.  She was always the social butterfly and loved to laugh and have fun with friends and family.  Gatherings of any kind was her favorite as she always had a love of travel and meeting new people which will always be in the hearts of her children.  She was feisty until the bitter end.

Judy has requested no viewing or funeral services but wanted people to celebrate her life with some good memories and a nice glass of wine.  The family will be holding a celebration of her life when we are able to gather all together as she would not have wanted it any other way.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society in Judy’s name would be appreciated.
