 Quietly and peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, November 14 at the age of 92, after experiencing a massive stroke. Also known as “The Bride” or “JoJo”, pre-deceased by loving husband Duncan of 59 years. Proud graduate of the Ottawa Civic Hospital School of Nursing – Class of 1952B. Loving Mother to Bruce (Jacqueline), Valerie (Ross) Beebe of Chilliwack, BC and Laurie Chatigny (Paul) of Ottawa. Adoring Grandma to Sam, Andrea, Clare, Bennett and two Granddogs, Brassie and Teddy. Great-Grandma to Maverick, Ivy, RJ, Alice and Lenox. Joyce was a long-time member of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in the Glebe and a past President of their Talent Club. She was an active volunteer for many years with the Food Bank and performed blood pressure clinics for the Kidney Foundation of Canada. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The Ottawa Food Bank or another charity of your choice. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Garden Chapel on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Garden Reception Centre.
