Joy Merle Laughlin

It is with great sadness that the family of Joy Laughlin announces her passing at the Arnprior and District Hospital on October 15, 2017 in her 94th year. Joy Laughlin of Kanata, formerly of Kinburn, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Mack Laughlin (2007), infant son Brian (1945) and youngest son Mark (2007). Beloved mother of Linda Grainger (late Bobby), Don (Suzanne) and Penny-Anne Laughlin. Much loved grandmother of Robbie Grainger (Shannon), Jamie Grainger (Natalie), Amanda Gibson (Keni), Paul Laughlin (Jenna) and Simon Laughlin (Michelle). Cherished great-grandmother of Matthew Grainger, Nolan and Mackinley Gibson. Joy was the daughter of the late Roy and Ada (Robinson) Azulay. Predeceased by siblings Elsie Bourk (late Tom), Rae Azulay (late Marge) and Kenny (Jean Azulay). She will be missed by sisters Irene Powers (late Don) of Ottawa and Maxine Dutru of France. Joy will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends recently made at the Arnprior Villa and the Antrum's of Kanata, old friends from Citrus Woods, Lakeland Florida where she wintered for over thirty years. A special thank you to Dr. Susanna McCarthy, the Arnprior Villa and the Arnprior Hospital for all their excellent care and compassion in Mom's final days. Friends may visit at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 21 at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Diamond United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
