Jo de Wilton (née Tomlinson) died in the early hours of 16 March 2024 at age 91.
After meeting her future husband Michael in 1952, Jo and Michael celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary together in April 2023, with family present in Ottawa and those around the world joining by video conferencing.
Jo’s family included her three children, Angela, Barbara and Jonathan; and four grandsons, Dominic, Thomas, Philip and Angus.
Jo began her career as a school teacher, qualified as a tennis coach after moving to Canada, and later her businesses included “Sew with Jo & Tennis Too” and “3Rs Plus” tutoring.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the church of Our Lady of Fatima, in Ottawa. With appreciation to the assisted-living staff at Timberwalk Retirement Community for their care of Jo in the last few weeks.
