John Kenneth Swerdfager

Passed away peacefully at the May Court Hospice at 80 years of age. He joins his dear wife, Sandra Swerdfager who predeceased him in 2012. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Wendy (Lee Roy) and his dear sister, Melinda Glew (Tom). He was predeceased by his parents, Ken Swerdfager and June Swerdfager (née Doxtater), and his sister Sandra Swerdfager. 

John was a member of the Ottawa Police for 31 years. His passion was antique cars, and he lovingly restored a number of them. A testament to his skill, one was purchased by the Canada Science and Technology Museum for display. John will be missed by his many life-long friends, especially Steve Ralph and Rick Lester, as well as his neighbours of 40 years Hajo and Jean Versteeg. Friends may call at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Thursday January 30th from 6pm-8pm.Those wishing may make memorial donations to Hospice Care Ottawa.
