Scrimgeour, John (Jack) Henry Carron

Passed away at the Queensway Carlton Hospital on Saturday June 24, 2023, in his 97^th year. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Bowman). Loving father of Nancy Tomkins (Rob) and stepfather of Bob Dale (Martha), Alison Dale and Sandy Dale (Angela). Son of the late Robert and Mary Scrimgeour of Dundee, Scotland. Proud grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of one. Jack is predeceased by his first wife Ruth and son Michael. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Jack had a long career as a professional engineer at Canadian General Electrical and retired as the senior advisor from the National Research Council in Robotics and Industrial Automation. His passions were performing with the Parkdale United and Kanata Symphony Orchestras, Scottish Country Dancing, and active member of Scrimgeour Clan Association. A memorial service will be held at Carleton Memorial United Church, 740 Melfa Crescent, Ottawa on Wednesday July 12^th, 2023, at 7 pm. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
