Jack passed away peacefully at home in his 90th year, with his wife Gwen by his side. He was the son of the late Donald and Elizabeth Magee. Jack was the patriarch of a large family, leaving behind his beloved wife Gwendolyn (Wright) and his four sons – Bruce (Patti), Don (Kathy), Jeff (Mary Ellen), and Peter (Jennifer). Jack also leaves behind the special treasures of his life – his grandchildren: Kelly (Kyle), Scott (Krystal), Alison (Phil), Heather (Dustin), Hilary (Adam), Jeff (Kirstyn), Colleen, Corrina, Andrew, Cassidy, and the late Christopher, as well as five great grandchildren – Henry, Charlotte, Victoria, Quinn, and Kory. Jack is also survived by his brothers Tom (Sharon), Bill (late Sandra), and Donald (pre-deceased), his sister-in-law Fern Whyte (Dan) and brother-in-law Earl Wright. Jack lived a long and rich life filled with family, horses, farming, fishing, boats, gardening, cooking and bread making, golf, and coke floats for the grandkids. He was truly “jack” of all trades. Friends may attend a visitation at St. James United Church, Osgoode on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. Private inurnment at Westmeath Union Cemetery at a later date. For those wishing, donations in Jack’s memory can be made to the Township of Osgoode Care Centre.
