John Joseph Little, son of the late Gertrude and Francis Little, has taken his final step of life's journey peacefully and surrounded by the warmth and love of his family at his side at the age of 83. After an eight month struggle with pancreatic cancer, Dad leaves behind his loving wife Ellen of 58 years, his daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Taylor (Dan McCabe), Cynthia (Dave Armstrong) and Jacqueline (Ralph Storey), much loved grandson Jesse Taylor and special family friends, Carolyn and Al Bingham, and Tamiko Lee. Our many cousins also mourn the loss of "Uncle Jack" who, as patriarch, was the last of a large family of 12 siblings. Dad will be remembered lovingly by all who had the good fortune to know him and be on the receiving end of his kindness. A special heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at the May Court Hospice (Dad’s angels) and to Dr. Tara whose compassion and palliative commitment to Dad and our family was/is immeasurable. At Dad's request, there will no visitation. A service to celebrate Dad and his life will be held on Monday, April 20th, 11:00 am at the Annunciation of Our Lord church. If you wish to make a donation please keep Hospice Care Ottawa in mind or just simply carry forward an act of kindness and compassion on behalf of our Dad. Condolences, donations or tributes may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
