Peacefully at home, December 9, 2013 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Judy. Dear father to Shari (Gary Montano), and Derek (Jane). Loving grandfather of Ashley, Douglas, Courtney and Alyssa. Also survived by sisters Norma Wilkinson (Harry), Irene French (Rick), Kathy Fischer (Peter); brothers James (Sharon), Danny (Mary); sister-in-law Debi Garbutt, predeceased by brother Gary. Much loved by many nieces and nephews. The family is especially grateful to Dr. Susan Gick of Community Palliative Medicine Associates and to nurses Holly, Heather and Bev for their professional expertise in providing care at home. Family and friends of Jack's are welcomed to attend a memorial celebration for him at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington St., Carp on Saturday, December 21st from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
