John Arthur Birtwistle

After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, John passed away at his home, with his family by his side, on Thursday, January 24, 2014 at the age of 59 years. He leaves behind his best friend and wife, Stephanie; their most cherished kids, Alexandra Kathleen and James Andrew. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Irene Birtwistle. John worked in the heavy truck industry for over 31 years, beginning his career with Freightliner Truck Centre. A consistent top sales performer, John was well respected by his clients and colleagues. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed golfing, boating and curling, and he was an active member of the Burlington Curling Club for over 20 years. A Memorial Celebration will be held at The Burlington Golf and Country Club, 422 North Shore Boulevard East, Burlington, Ontario on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Condolences from 1 pm until 3:30 pm.
