Peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Beloved husband for 55 years of Sandra (Seamone). Proud father of Simone (Lawrence Nelson) and Matthew (Susan Byers). Loving Papa to Isaac and Zoe. J.B. will be greatly missed by his three sisters Marilyn Findlay (late Edward and late Everett), Patricia Wilson, and June Poole (Allan) and is predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Mildred Wilson. J.B. will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. J.B. spent most of his lifetime at the family farm on First Line Rd., Kars. His heart was always on the farm tending his Angus cattle and his crops. He was a dedicated math teacher at SCHS in Richmond and Math Department Head at A.Y. Jackson S.S. in Kanata. He served as a Councillor on the Rideau Township Council (1974-83). He enjoyed travelling, skiing, softball, and later golf. He especially loved making people laugh. His humble and gentle demeanor and his affable character will be missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Billie, staff and volunteers at The Courtyards on Eagleson. Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Friday, March 20, from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Manotick, on Saturday, March 21, at 10 a.m. Those wishing may make memorial donations to St. James Anglican Church, 1138 Bridge St., Manotick K4M 1A3 or the Ottawa Humane Society.
