It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jennifer Ann Robert on April 19, 2025, at the age of 59, after a courageous battle with cancer. She faced it with the same strength and stubborn determination that defined her life, right up until the very end.
Jennifer was so much to so many—an incredible mom, loving partner, grandmother, sister, and a friend you could always count on. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Romeo Robert, and her parents, Violet and Douglas MacKinnon. She leaves behind her beloved partner Tim Kirby, her children Dillon, Courtney (Nick), Victoria (Jeff), and her grandchildren Charles and Amara, who were the center of her world.
She was a loving sister to Matt MacKinnon (Allison), Mark MacKinnon and will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many others whose lives she touched.
Jennifer was happiest outdoors and never passed up a chance for adventure. She loved four-wheeling, kayaking, camping under the stars and going on long walks through the forest. She had a deep appreciation for nature and found joy in the simple things—watching the leaves change, hearing the birds sing, and soaking up quiet moments by the water.
Above all, Jennifer loved her people. She wasn’t just a mom to her kids—she was their best friend. And to their friends, she was famously known as “The Maaaaa”—a second mom to many and a title that perfectly captured her big, welcoming heart.
Jennifer had a way of making everyone feel at home, and her laugh, her love, and her fearless spirit will be missed more than words can say.
In lieu of flowers, please consider an act of kindness or even a simple smile in Jennifer's memory.
