Jean Desjardins (nee Leslie)

February 5,1923 – March 16, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother,  in her 99th year, peacefully in her sleep.  Mom passed away on Wednesday March 16th, 2022.   Predeceased by her beloved husband Rolland Desjardins, her son Rolly, her granddaughter Samantha, her grandson Andrew, her sisters Peggy and Kathleen, and brother Peter in England.   She will be missed by her remaining 11 children Annette, Sandra, David, Denis, Kathy, Patricia, Sue, Paul, Liz, Joanne, Peter and their spouses.  She will be greatly missed by her 26 grandchildren and her 34 great grandchildren.   She will also be missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews here and in England.  She was an employee of the Ottawa Hospital for 25 years.

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Corkery Road, at 2:00 pm followed by burial at St. Michael's Cemetery.

We would like to thank The Renfrew Victoria Hospital, Crescent Care in Cobden, Chartwell Kanata and CCAC for the amazing care and support they gave the whole family.
