Jean Harriet Boyd
June 4, 1926 to January 14, 2014
Without discomfort in her 87th year. Graduate of Queen's University, a missionary, teacher and Deaconess of the Anglican Church, her many students, parishioners and family were enriched by a kind soul with purpose and determination. Teaching native Canadians in Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan was followed by care of the parish at Fort Simpson NWT. The small church there had been established by her 1st cousin, 3 times removed, Bishop William Carpenter Bompas. Dear sister of Frances Dalziel and Marianne Muir. Predeceased by her brother Donald. Aunt to Marjorie Evans, Bruce Boyd, Peter Dalziel, Robert Dalziel, Frances Ann Welland (deceased), Gordon Dalziel, Barbara Dalziel (Thompson), Richard Muir and Roderick Muir. She will be remembered as well by their spouses and the younger generation, Heather, Martha, Benjamin, Matthew, Emma, Aeron and David. Per her wishes there will be no visitation or service.
