Janet Johnson

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Janet Isabelle "Janee" Johnson (nee Daly) on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 at the Queensway Carleton hospital at the age of 70. Beloved wife of 45 years to Dr. Dale Bernard Johnson, loving and devoted mother of Kimberly Peterson and Stephanie Rackus (Phil). Cherished and loved Nana to Allegra, Justin, Honor, Paige, Oliver and Aiden. Also survived by her loving sister Joy Albright of Gibsons, BC. She was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and studied at UBC graduating with a Bachelor of Education in 1966. She moved to Montreal with Dale in 1969 and subsequently lived in Atlanta, Vancouver and Ottawa. She will be greatly missed by the many neighbours and friends whose lives she impacted. Her sense of humour and many passions such as gardening were shared with those she loved. Many thanks to the staff at the QCH for their excellent care. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt), on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. A private family funeral will be held later.
