Janet Gail Banks

Passed away suddenly in her home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, 5 days short of her 75th birthday and 6 days short of her 44th wedding anniversary. Beloved wife of the late Frank Kewley (July 2024). Dear mother of Emma (Daryl McKinnon) and loved grandmother of Mack, Ty and Ada. Dear sister to Judy (Michael), Jamie (Cathy); aunt to Jillian (Jean-Luc), Christopher (Ana Liza), Jason, Lindsay (Rene) and Craig. Great aunt to Ana, Michaela and Alex.

 She leaves behind family in the U.K, many dear friends from Kars Presbyterian Church, retired nursing friends, neighbours and the walking/bowling/book club girls. She will always be fondly remembered for her sense of adventure and travel. She enjoyed many trips in her youth as well as world travels with her husband Frank, and family vacations. Her love for family, dogs, her kindness, generosity, infectious laugh will never be forgotten. 

Janet will always remain fondly in our hearts. Family and Friends may attend visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Sunday December 22nd from 2-4 pm. Funeral will be held in the chapel on Monday December 23rd at 11 am. reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Kars.
