Passed peacefully surrounded those who loved him most on Tuesday 17 March 2020 at his home in Ottawa in his 36th year. He was the beloved partner of Nadia Presseau, son of Debbie Cybulski and Vincent Cybulski, brother of Chris. James was a self-described introvert, but once you knew him, his sharp wit and keen intellect came shining through. James lived his life to the fullest and spent as much time as he could in nature. The Frontenac Provincial Park was one of his favourite places to reconnect with nature. He was always ready to strap the canoe onto the truck and head off for a weekend (or a week) at the park. James was truly a ‘Renaissance man’ whose interests varied widely from politics to ethics to the proper way to tie down a canoe on a 14-year-old truck. His greatest virtue was his ability to love, with his whole heart, his family and his friends.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be no funeral for James in Ottawa. When Spring returns to Ottawa, and friends and family can gather again, we will come together to remember James. James will be interred at the Royal Oak Burial Park in Victoria in a private family ceremony. Donations can be made in James’ memory to the Friends of Frontenac Park
