Ida Glass

GLASS, Ida (nee Jadwiga Harubin)
September 24, 1930 – January 7, 2024

Ida died peacefully at the age of 93 at the Peter D. Clark home. Born in Montreal, longtime resident of Glen Robertson and Ottawa. Daughter of the late Antonina (Samul) and Antoni Charubin. Beloved wife of the late James Glass. Pre-deceased by sisters Jane Harkala, Regina Segeleski and brother Henry Harubin. 

Ida was a loving mother to Bob (Ada), Bill, Gerry (Zoya), Judy, Alan and Sandra. Cherished grandmother to Emily (Jon), Annik (John), Stephanie (Adam), David, Victoria (Jamie), Heather, Stewart (Olivia) and Alison (Brie). Adoring great-grandmother to Curtis, Talia, Ronin, Jaya, Anjali, Bryce, Oliver, Barin, JJ and Morgan. 

Ida was very proud of her family. She was passionate about cooking and gardening. Ida especially enjoyed hosting family and friends at Polish picnics at the country place.

The family sends a special thank you to the staff at Peter D. Clark for all the care they provided to Ida over the last 5 months and to her Personal Care Workers who provided exceptional care over the last year and a half. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.

A private family ceremony will take place to honour Ida. She will be dearly missed.
