(April 17, 1930 - April 7, 2018)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen S. Scott on Saturday, April 7th, 10 days short of her 88th birthday with family by her side. Loving mother of Christopher, daughter-in-law Brenda (nee Taylor) and proud Gramma of Emma (Kenny), Leah, and Zach. Helen will be missed by her dear sister Jean Watson as well her nieces and nephews, Lori (Mark Lowery), Lynne (Rusty Watts), Lisa, Joanne (Chris Murawsky), Bob (Nancy), & Jim (Heather Watson). Helen now joins her mother Myrtle, father James, brother Jim and his wife Lois (nee McLinton), brother in-laws Jim Watson and Larry Ross along with many aunts and one uncle from the Walter family of Poltimore, Quebec. She leaves behind many friends, cousins, extended family, and former colleagues. Helen worked for External Affairs Canada and visited many places around the world including, Poland, Vietnam, Cyprus, Rome, Washington DC, and Barbados to name a few. It was in Cyprus where she adopted her greatest love and accomplishment, Chris. Despite her many health issues, Helen had an amazingly positive attitude and enjoyed the company of friends and family. A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Saturday, May, 5 ^th at 10:30 am at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, 403 Richmond Rd., Ottawa. Donations to the Jindal Kidney Clinic of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation in Helen's name would be appreciated.
