Rossy, Helen Mary Frances

1922-2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019 at Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, Ontario.  She was born in Montreal, QC and was a long-time resident of Ottawa.  She was the youngest of 2 daughters born to Henry Larsen and Kathleen Jones.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, John Rossy, her sister Marjorie Lajeunesse and her grandson Sean Convery.  She is survived by her children Katherine Ernst (Peter), Elizabeth Convery, Philip Rossy (Dianne) and Violet Rossy.  Also surviving are her grandchildren Ross, Blair and Colin, Tracy and Michael, David, Ryan, Leigh Ann, Angela and Andrew.  Helen was also blessed with 13 great grand-children.  She is survived by special friend Peter Swan.  She was an active partner in her husband’s restaurant business but always found time to enjoy golf and bowling for over 40 years.  The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care given by all the staff at Bonnechere Manor.  Visitation will be held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd (at Roosevelt), Ottawa on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 2:30 p.m.  Burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.  In memoriam donations may be made to Bonnechere Manor Foundation or St. Elias Orthodox Church.
