Helen O'Reilly

On October 19, 2022, Helen O’Reilly- Bale (nee Richardson) passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side. Even though are hearts are breaking, she was one of Gods most faithful servants and is now at home with her maker.

Helen grew up in Ottawa (City View Nepean); daughter of Maynard and Betty Richardson (predeceased) and had 3 siblings; the late Arthur Richardson (Carolyne), Billy Richardson (Barbara) and Debbie Kitchen (Cam).

Helen attended City View Public School and graduated from Merivale High School. She went on to have a 40 year plus career as an HR advisor for many different departments within the Government of Canada.

Helen was an exceptional loving Mother who would stop at nothing to be a champion and fighter for both of her children Kirk O’Reilly (predeceased 2014) and Kelly O’Reilly; whom she raised in Ottawa with her husband Clarence O’Reilly (predeceased 2008).

Helen is survived by her amazing husband Ted Bale- who loved and cared for her unconditionally each and every day (Stepchildren Shannon (Liam), Kevin and Grandson Jasper)- and daughter Kelly O’Reilly (Denis Verdon) who will always love and never forget… Granddaughters Shauna (Sokhan Nhem), Jade and Skye and Great granddaughter Savannah.

Helen will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends and Family are welcome to come join us for Helen’s Celebration of Life on Monday, October 24, 2022, at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes (between Bayshore and Baseline).  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a service in the chapel and a reception.  Burial will take place at Capital Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
