Suddenly in hospital at Peterborough on Friday, April 28, 2023 at age 83. Predeceased by her beloved husband Garnet Brown and their only son, Garnet Jr. Dear mother of Mary Smith (Doug) and Joan Brown (late Trevor Bennett).
Loving grandmother of Johnathon and Sarah; Cliff (Tonja) and Tawnia (Dale). Great grandmother of Tyler and Blake. Also survived by her sisters Fern Carpenter (late Don), Helen Sadler (late Earl), Cora Nolan (Claude), Jane Massey; and sisters-in-law Penny and Aggie. Predeceased by her brothers Blyth and Eldon Massey.
As a valued employee with more than 25 years of service at Statistics Canada, Heather was an active volunteer with St. John’s Anglican Church, the Kidney Foundation and Ottawa Hospital (Civic Campus). Heather was a loyal member of the Orange family and served proudly as Past Grand Secretary, Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Canada and Past Grand Mistress of Right Worshipful , Ontario East. Up until the pandemic Heather loved playing euchre wherever there was a deck of cards.
Friends may attend a visitation at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 67 Fowler St., Richmond on Thursday, May 4th from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm. followed by a reception.
