It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Harvey with his family at his side at the Almonte General Hospital on November 28, 2013 in his 95th year. Beloved companion of 37 years to Heather Donaldson. loving father of Glen (Helen), Garry (Joyce), Grant (Carrie), Greg and Cathy Doherty. Predeceased by his son Gerald and daughter Marion. Cherished grandfather of Geoffrey (Jennifer), Tracy (Rick), Gord (Erin), Karen, Kevin, Mark (Kendra), Marilyn and great-grandfather of Ella, Matthew, Devon, Grayson, Mackenzie and Rylon. Brother of Bernice, Phyllis and Maurice. Predeceased by brothers Russell, Harold and sister Grace. Special thanks to the Almonte General Hospital, the Rosamond Unit and to Dr. J. Murray for all the care they provided. Friends may visit at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp, ON on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
