Mom passed away peacefully and with grace, the way she lived her life, on April 16, 2024. She was the adored wife of the late Jack Magee (2016), the love of her life for close to 65 years, and the family matriarch and revered mother of Bruce (Patti), the late Don (Kathy), Jeffrey (Mary-Ellen) and Peter (Jennifer). Mom also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren – Kelly (Kyle), Scott (Krystal), Alison (Phil), Heather (Dusty), Hilary (Adam), Colleen (Matt), Corrina (Brad), Andrew and Cassidy (Ryan), in whose lives she played a big part, as well as 15 great-grandchildren, her sister Fern (Dan) and brothers-in-law Tom (Sharon) and Bill. She was predeceased by her parents John and Alice Wright and brother Earl.
Mom will be buried alongside Dad in a family ceremony this summer in Westmeath, Ontario. Donations in her memory may be made to the Osgoode Care Centre, an organization for which Gwen was a founding board member and major fundraiser.
