Passed away peacefully, in hospital, on Friday May 9, 2014. Beloved wife for over 60 years of Larry, Manotick. Cherished mother of Susan McLennan (Rev.Mark), Woodstock, Brian (Catherine), Oxford Station, grandmother to Destiny, and sister-in-law of Iris Kemp. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Earl Kemp (Edythe), sister Janet Taylor (Gordon), sister Marguerite Clingon (Raymond) and brother George Kemp. Gwen's life revolved around faith, family, friends, flowers, and music. She sang in Knox Church Choir for many years, and served as organist for number of years. She was also a member of the Manotick Horticultural Society. Friends may call at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr. (East of Hwy 416) on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Manotick on Monday, May 12th at 1:00 pm with Rev. Kelly Graham officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations in celebration of Gwen's life may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, Manotick; Osgoode Care Centre; or Winchester and District Memorial Hospital.
