Almedia Grace Clarke -Wilker (nee Cheney) passed away peacefully at home on Feb 7th, 2022 at the age of 97.  Grace was born on Jan 19th,1925 in Chesterville, Ontario to Joseph and Selena Cheney.  She was predeceased by two husbands, George Towns, Douglas Clarke and 5 brothers; Colin, Stanley, Edward, Donald, John.  Grace will be dearly missed by her family Joan Petrie (Ian); Linda Chapeskie (David); Rosemary Clarke; Graham Clarke (Barbara). Also by her husband Murray Wilker and his family Lynda Jackson; Dale Wilker.  Also by her sister Dorothy Cheney.  She leaves behind a great legacy of 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren all of whom she loved very much.

Grace is remembered by friends and family as a kind and giving person who loved to smile and was an amazing wordsmith and storyteller.  She worked tirelessly and enthusiastically leading various volunteer groups for her church. Her quiet and gentle nature touched many friends over the years including her peers at Whitehaven and TG Maxwell Schools, neighbours at the cottage in Constance Bay and in her many church groups. The family would like to send out their heartfelt thanks to all of the medical staff and support groups for their kind and compassionate care of Grace. Special thanks go to Dr S. Budge and Dr C. McGinty and the staff at HLIN for their efforts to ensure Grace was able to be home and safe.

Visitation will be held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa (at Richmond and Roosevelt) on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  In order to attend the visitation pre-registration is mandatory.

Funeral services will be held at All Saints Anglican Church Westboro, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 1 p.m.  Burial at Capital Memorial Gardens Cemetery to follow.  In order to attend the funeral service pre-registration and proof of double vaccination along with government issued identification is required.  Pre-registration for the visitation and funeral service may be made by scrolling below or by calling 613-722-6559 .  For those unable to attend the funeral service in person, a live stream option will be available on the funeral home website by scrolling below (Meeting ID: 840 0453 6110 & Passcode: 444984) .  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute or All Saints Anglican Church Westboro.
