Gordon Harold McCaffrey

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Harold McCaffrey who passed away on February 10, 2025. Gordie died at the age of 89, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 64 years to Sheila McCaffrey (Dixon). Loving father of Brenda Bretzloff (Bill), Nancy Hoover (James), and Heather Garnett (Michael). Proud Grandpa of Laurie, Melissa, Tyler, Colin, Julia and Olivia. Predeceased by brothers Eldon, Garnet, Carmen, and sisters Enid Petry and Evelyn Minnelli.

 A celebration of Gordie’s life will be held at St Matthew’s Anglican Church in the Glebe (217 First Avenue) on Saturday March 8 at 1 pm. In Gordie’s memory, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
