Gordon Keith Armstrong
August 2nd 1928 - September 27th 2014

Peacefully at home on Saturday, September 27, 2014, with his wife and best friend of 58 years at his side. Beloved husband of Ruth (née Whiting). Dear father of Douglas Keith (predeceased 1957), David Keith (Janet) and Katherine McNeil (Ken Gordon). Proud Grandpa of Rebecca, Carley, Emily and Jason. Dear brother of Donald (Lera) and Kenneth (Sylvia) of Kemptville. Uncle of Jim, Bob, Jeff, Tom and Billy. Son of the late Jared and Laura Armstrong. Keith was a long time member of Orange Young Britons and Manotick Lions. A lifelong love of wood enabled Keith to create many pieces of furniture, which are left for us to treasure. His love and appreciation for the farm led him to many happy hours with his horses and pheasants. Special thanks to the CCAC, his caregiver Barb and weekly visitors Al and Joan, as well as many other neighbors and friends. Our appreciation is also extended to Dr. Ruparelia, Dr. Chander, Dr. Lal and first responders. Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Thursday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1 pm, with reception to follow. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. Those wishing may make memorial donations to University of Ottawa Heart Institute, the CNIB, or charity of their choice. Tributes, condolences or donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
