Suddenly on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in his 62nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Beth (Bernhard). Dear father of Danny and Michael. Cherished brother of Jim (Shelva), Peter and Robert (Carol). Gary will also be lovingly remembered by Tonnie Evans (David), Judy Bernhard, John Bernhard (Hilda), many nieces, nephews and cousins and especially dear friend Drew Reynolds. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Hazel Birt. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital for their compassion and kindness. Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
