Reddy - Daniel Vincent “Garry”
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Garry at Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Kanata, ON. Garry passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the age of 75. Predeceased by his loving parents, Elizabeth & Isaiah Reddy, his brother Larry and his wife Reina, his sister Marie McArthur and her husband Mickey and his great nephew, Connor McArthur. Garry is survived by his sister Colleen (Clarke) Eady. Uncle to Christopher Eady, Shannon (Rick) Purdy, Kevin (Lise) McArthur, Kelly (George) Campbell and Kerri McArthur. Great Uncle to Cassandra, Ashley & Alex Purdy, Jake McArthur, Taylor & Daniel Campbell and MacKenzie & Parker Rafuse.
Garry grew up in Calabogie where he attended St. Joseph’s School. He worked as a PSW at the Beacon Hill Lodge in Ottawa for a number of years. He was a sports fanatic. He loved hockey and knew every team and every player by name. Garry was a kind soul with a huge heart and he had a smile that lit up the room. He had such faith in God and said the rosary every day without fail, that is a lot of prayers. He said it made life better for him and that God kept him in a happy place. He was a highlight at Garden Terrace as he said his job there was chatting and spending time with the residents that he so enjoyed. He had an outgoing personality and everyone knew when Garry arrived, he always said he inherited his Mom’s friendliness. He was best friends with Leonard, Tony, Cindy, and Sharon, and many others. Garry lived at Garden Terrace for eight years and had a wonderful time there.
I am so grateful to the staff at Garden Terrace and I can’t thank them enough for their exceptional and compassionate care that was always given to Garry. He so appreciated everyone.
You will be greatly missed Garry, you were a special person to your sister, Colleen and to so many others. God bless you in your happy place in Heaven that you so deserve. We will love and miss you forever.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Church in Calabogie on Saturday, July 17th at 11 am, followed by an inurnment in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. Tributes, condolences and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
