It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Franco DeCarlo on Saturday December 23, 2023 at the age of 84 years. Dear father of Ernesto DeCarlo, Anna (James Brunton) DeCarlo, Flavio (Lynn) DeCarlo and Mauro (Jennifer) DeCarlo. Loving nonno of 9 grandchildren. Dear brother of Carolina (Santino) Aiello, and Ermelinda (the late Maurizio) Carlucci and Antonia (Gino) Ienzi. Predeceased by his parents Ernesto and Anna (nee Bruni) DeCarlo, by his wife Thérèse (nee Tapp Gougeon) and grand daughter Avery DeCarlo.
Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday January 3rd, 2024 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at the Tubman Funeral Homes – Garden Chapel (between Baseline and Bayshore). Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday January 4th, 2024, at 10 AM at St Anthony of Padua. Burial to follow at Notre-Dame Cemetery.
For those wishing, donations to Ottawa Community West program, Alzheimer’s Society or Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
