Ferne Cox

We are saddened to share that Ferne Cox passed away peacefully in hospital on Apr. 5, in her 104th year. She was predeceased by her parents, Atha and Stan Rollins, and her brothers, Rex (Phyllis) and Colin, and sister-in-law, Evelyn (Bud). 

Her beloved husband, Norman Cox, passed away in 1983.  

She was the proud Mother of Suzanne (George), Bill (Wendy), Lee (Sue) and Wayne (Margie). Her beloved Grandchildren are Melissa (Gerard), Andrew (Ashley), Blair (Julia), Colin (Katie), Tyler (Jenn), Ryan (Melissa), and Hannah (Cameron). Her precious Great Grandchildren are Thomas, Claire, Elsie, Norah, Connor and Avery. She was also known as Dear Aunt Ferne to her beloved nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Church Huntley, 3008 Carp Rd., at 2 PM on Sat. Apr. 13. Burial will follow in the Christ Church Cemetery. 

Please join us after at the Irish Hills Golf and Country Club at 3248 Carp Rd. from 3 PM to 5:30 PM.

The family thanks the caring Staff at the Stittsville Retirement Residence and the Fairview Manor in Almonte. 

Ferne lived a long and happy life surrounded by the love of her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.
